It's Kind of a Funny Story

Sorry guys! busy weekend! Blizzcon was this weekend and i rocked it out watching both days. new world of warcraft expansion is coming out. its going to be sweet.

Anyway, as far as my book reviewing is going, this weekend i read a novel by one of my favorite people in the world, Ned Vizzini.

here is a brief discription of the first part of the book.

"Craig, the narrator, is 15, and lives with his family in an upper-middle class Brooklyn neighborhood. He just started attending a very gifted, superior high school, for which he has studied very hard to gain admission. Now he is overwhelmed by the academic pressures there. He has poor appetite, purges his stomach, and sleeps poorly due to stressful nighttime thoughts which he calls "cycling." His best friend has introduced him to smoking marijuana at the friend's home; Craig, who is shy and nerdy and has never dated, is also jealous that this friend has a steady girl. Craig sees counselors and is taking medication, but feels improved and decides to stop medicating, but shortly afterward considers suicide by jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge. " (Wikipedia)

I would suggest this book! 10/10 stars!

Alice in Wonderland

to wrap up my movie week that i have seemed to come upon, we are ending with the preview to a movie that will blow our minds. from the crazy yet lovable Tim Burton comes the remake of Alice in Wonderland from his own perspective. now this made my mouth drop, as i am a huge Burton fan, but in the end what surprised me more was that Johnny Depp was cast as the Mad Hatter.

Seeing Depp in a Burton film is not something new, but rather an ongoing thing between the two. Depp has been in Burtons films such as Edward Scissorhands, Sweeny Tod, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sleepy Hollow. all of which are amazing movies. i highly suggest you see this when it comes out.

watch the preview and be stunned!

Halo Movie? Mr. Steven Spielberg?

so i came across this article, and i figured it was relevant because of the whole world of warcraft movie stuff from the other day. this time is Halo, the X-Box money maker. it seems there is a movie in the works for this as well.

"...and no it's not Jerry Bruckheimer or Peter Jackson. It's the man behind Jaws, E.T., Indiana Jones and Transformers, Mr. Steven Spielberg..."

the working title is HALO THE FALL OF REACH, as says the website, but there may be more to this then meets the eye. i would read over the article, as it is lined with jokes and quips.

as far as it goes, i have the regular x-box and wouldn't mind seeing a movie about it, as long as its not just some war movie. i would like to get inside the characters heads and see more emotion then what i see in the game. but either way if i don't see it in theaters, i'll own the DVD or Blue-ray.

well time to bring this to a close... but next time i have an amazing amazing preview to share. i know i am sticking to movies right now, but there are some really good ones coming out. stick around!

"Terrorism. Heretic. Renegade. Freedom. What do all four have in common? Jack. Enter the world of Jack Dapona, an average teen looking to make it who loses faith after his oldest brother dies. The events that follow will change Jack’s life forever. Rosie, the new girl in town who seems to be followed by trouble, is the first change in his life. The landslide then begins and pulls Jack along for the ride of his life. Jack’s adventure involves the local punks, an underground mafia, the crazed anarchists, a man named The Falcon, and the thing that connects them all. Sometimes You Need a Good Laugh...

time for my second blog today, lets hope i can

there is a website among the thousands that are online that tops my fan favorite. it is a website that shows the true fail of everyone. failblog.org is that site. it has those quirky pick me up jokes that can turn around anyones day. for me, this is what i saw today that turned around my day. i hope you try out that site and enjoy the same laughs i do.

Sam Raimi to direct Warcraft movie

Over the past few weeks I've been into the whole movie scene. i find myself wrapped up into my television or computer screen glued to the show or movie of the day. with this in mind i was amazed to come across a post on Yahoo about one of my other obsessions, Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft.

The post is about the plan that Sam Raimi will be directing the newly announced World of Warcraft movie that will take place in the realm of Azeroth, the main setting for the online game, the books, and the PC game series as well. when this was announced, the Internets best bloggers and gamers found themselves jumping in their chairs, i was one of those people.

with the joy came the sadness. within a week of this being announced, people suddenly came up with complaints for this. many of them opted that they make more then one movie, three being the average. this was due to the high amount of story that is going to be covered in one movie. many claim that they should make three movies following three story lines that come together in the end, with events intertwining. as of right now i have not come across any plans to have this sort of thing, but gamers everywhere are waiting to hear the release date of this epic movie.

Just to shed some light on Raimi's past and current work i thought i would give a list of his most recent works. Raimi directed "Spider man", along with its predecessors, "Spider man 2", "Spider Man 3", and his current project "Spider Man 4". he also directed the 2009 film "Drag Me to Hell." looking at the directing he did for these movies may give hopeful viewers something to expect from Raimi as he moves forward to direct the upcoming "World of Warcraft" movie.
